Many years ago, Rodney wanted to express his gratitude to some special people in a special way. So, he grabbed a freshly-shucked oyster shell (one is always nearby), gave it a thorough cleaning and inscribed it with a personal message, offering the recipients a special meal at the oyster house. The gesture was so well-received it became a Rodney’s tradition: the Gift Shell! Today, we’re happy to make these gifts available to our customers to give to the oyster lovers in their lives. Each one is still hand-drawn by Rodney and can contain a special message for the recipient. Because of the unique, customized nature of this item, 48-business-hours notice are required to prepare them. The Roman Empire wasn’t built in a day, and neither are our gift shells.
