Valentine’s Day at the House
We’ve often said that that we set lovers up to win. It’s the oyster that does the work, of course. You, a bottle of wine, an attractive date, staring across the table into a pair of beautiful eyes as you bring that slick, salty oyster slowly to your lips… Message sent. We can’t actually close the deal for you (you have to do some of the work yourself) but we certainly lay the foundation.
It means we do a pretty good trade on Valentine’s Day. If you think some oysters or other Offerings of the Sea might be in order, it’s always a good idea to book early, as the evening does fill up. Call the Crew at 416-363-8105 ext 0 and we’ll book you in. On the 14th we’ll be offering, in addition to our regular Fare, the following specials to whet your appetite:
Valentine’s Day Menu:
Soup – Pumpkin and Lobster bisque
Appetizers – Rodrigo’s Peruvian Ceviche; Tuna Tartar with Nori and pickled Shiitake Mushroom; Dungeness Crab Cake Benedict with Poached Egg, crispy Pork Belly and Chili Hollandaise
Entrees – BC Black Cod – Oven roasted and served with butternut squash gnocchi, roasted tomatoes, spinach, pine nuts and brown butter cream sauce;
Surf and Turf – Vanilla- and butter-poached lobster tail, with grilled filet mignon, potato puree and roasted zucchini marrow, topped with house-made ricotta cheese
Dessert – Macaroons – Honey pistachio mascarpone and Raspberry rosewater; Double Chocolate Cheesecake and Champagne and Berries
