Live King Crab has been given the royal treatment ever since the popularization of the TV show “The Deadliest Catch.” Since that point, we started bringing them in twice a year, based on seasonal availability. The season happens twice; end of October until December and end of February until April. How long’s the season? Roughly 3-8 weeks, depending on how fast they hit their quota.
King crab is quota fished and protected to be sure that we continue to enjoy the species for the rest of our lives. Where do they come from? Denmark or Juno Alaska. We’re really liking the Denmark these days. It’s a new found favourite and an invasive species there. We are doing them a favour by indulging.
